An Ode To Dusk
Birds are finding their way home, and a gentle breeze swings up the mountain side; the diffused light balances all the colours of the landscape in that short window of time before darkness falls.​

This is Dusk.
​
Dusk allows colours to be pushed, and pulled, and muted, against one another. From salvias, lavender and roses in the foreground, to the sky and paddocks through the tall stoic gum trees that form the backdrop of this composition, the colours move about the landscape as shadows slowly envelop the close of the day.

Collection: Transition
The 2024 work will be part of my Transition Collection. There will remain the same visual familiarity that can be viewed in my previous works, however there will be a new edge.
This new edge is honed by trialling and testing new ways to paint and create. Colours will continue to dance across the canvas and offer the viewer a festive feast into a dreamscape only their minds will be able to decipher.

Texture will continue to play an integral role in all this collections paintings. You need to feel to understand a piece of art.
